thinking back to Jacksonville NPPL 2008
In the 2008 NPPL Jackson 5 man pump event we also had some guest killers that helped us secure the win. Tony Tran and I flew out to get the job done. Only problem was we had to pick up three players to have a complete team!!! So after some people said they would play and then bitched out we figured it out. Tony Perez of Avalanche fame and the one and only Rob from Derder guested with us. Both played solid ball and shot people in the face! Linh (formerly of Splat Factory fame) made the flight out to help the team and on her first time making the starting squad she helped secure the win. Linh is now a solid member of the team. Congrats girl!!
Bizzie Gold did a great job hosting the show for NPPL and we got the win we flew out to fight for. It was a great weekend, even though Jacksonville isn't the place you want to visit....unless you have 1200 friends rolling with you.

HSP Practice & Derrick Obatake's surprise bday party...
Practice was fun. Got some snap shooting drills, dodgeball, sprint one on ones and more in. Lots of games and one every man for himself killfest in as well. We had Lil Richard come play with us again and he played solid ball. Waka Waka did a triathlon in the morning and lived to tell about it. Carlos is hurt from work and we hope to see him back on the field soon.
Going to Derricks surprise party was funny cause we got rolled for an unsafe lane change and still made it in time. Everybody had lots of welts due to the brutal dodgeball drills. Can you believe Derrick is now 50!! He puts fear in players at all levels. Saw lots of friends and a great slideshow on Derrick's half century on this planet. He is old school Kamakazzi Shooter for you newbies out there. Don't fuck with a ninja- Is an understatement
Glad to be home now can't wait for dinner and the spa...

Practice at HSP...
Later today practice at HSP....
Today will be a pump only pratice held at HSP. We expect other teams to be there and hopefully we will be able to get lots of drills in when they are not looking. Next weekend is the 3 man and 5 man OSC event. The weekend after that is the SCXL event at the Compound inside of Jungle Island. So we have three pump events in the next two weeks.
The boys look solid and we are trying out some new players. Lil Richard came out to Whittier last week and played some solid ball already comfortable with shooting with both hands and willing to gunfight with anyone in his way. Good start for sure. After today I will figure out the rosters for all the events and let the squads know who they will be playing with. Right now our main squad LA Hitmen are ranked 1st place in both OSC 3 man, 5 man and NPPL pump divisons.
Can't wait to play!

New blog hottness....
So this is the start of my new blog.. My name is Sonny Lopez and I coach the LA Hitmen. I played with Dynasty in 2001 and the Naughty Dogs in 2003 and have been playing ball since 1989 so I've seen my share of battles, both in the woods and in the arenas. I started my own team a couple of years ago and luckly ended up with the best dam group of ballers on the planet. Now my family. So if west coast pump paintball life interests you keep an eye on this blog. I plan on revisiting past events (with a foggy memory) and hopefully figuring out how to post videos and images so you can see what the hell I'm talking about. Our team plays all forms of the sport cause we play to have fun.. We are very competetive yes.. But we make sure to have a good time first and foremost. Hope you enjoy the blog !
