Late birthday present...

I write this as I still cannot use my mouth... My dear friend, and great ShareNow designer, Mike gave me today what it looked to be a fantastic birthday present.

The polished wooden case, mean looking bottle, fierce sauce color, were all great indicators of a fantastic present, but it was the name of the sauce that really had me, Insanity.

I absolutely love spicy food and very hot sauces, and therefore really appreciated Mike's present. Unfortunately I went a bit too far... Insanity... I had one of these moments in life that we all had experienced: what was I thinking and why did I do it??? In this case mine was: "Thanks a lot Mike, let's try some together NOW"... The poor Mike looked at me with Bambi eyes, and given I am the CEO of the Company, he could not really refuse... So we both dropped a little bit of the fierce sauce on a crisp and...... Hot, hot, hot, hotter than midday in the death valley or Jessica Alba in bikini.... My eyes are still watering and still I can't speak properly...

A couple of lessons to be learnt from this experience:

1. If it looks mean from the bottle, it smells like acid, then it is not probably worth tasting it...

2. If you want to impress your friend and boss with a present, then buy him chocolate, or wine or ranch dressing sauce...

Wish me all well, I hope to recover soon... As far as Mike, he is still not feeling very well, and he lost his job too Wink ....

Promoting ShareNow....

The ShareNow rubber bands are getting very popular in California. I was out with few friends and met another very good friend, and to my surprise he had more ShareNow rubber bands than me on his arm!!! What surprised me even more is that he was wearing a pink one too - the only non-black non-white non-jeans item I have ever seen him wearing.... So, Fashion, clever Marketing or just a bored friend (who could not find his watch and decided to replace it with few rubber bands)?? Probably just a combination of the 3... Anyway, definitely more successful than our pre-launch tattoo idea, not many takers on that one....

Today's topic is our dear sharewalls, and what to do with them. Given that I am the CEO of the company I am supposed to be an expert on this (and all) feature(s), therefore I will do my best to explain it in simple terms (not easy for me given that after ten years I still struggle to speak and write English correctly...).

How to use a sharewall:

1. Get your friends to post on your sharewall pictures and videos from the previous night out - add comments and share the memories of the night out with any other friend that could not make it out

2. Open a sharewall to invite any other user to post their comments, pics and videos on a topic of interest (like "let's save the planet", "travel tips for Mexico", "etc..)

3. Launch an audition to find a new singer for your group, open a sharewall and ask users who feel they have got what it takes to post videos of their performance

4. Any other things that you think you can use a sharewall for...

Final tip, it is very important that (again, see previous post) you tag your sharewall as accurately as possible, so that, if intended open to all other users, they will be able to find it in the search.

For example, and a good laugh, check Liat's sharewall http://www.sharenow.com/graffiti/wall/417/

It is a fun wall for funny pics, and everybody is posting videos... However, what do you expect from a girl who goes out in the evening with a glass on her head....

The topic of today's blog is about the importance of tagging your profile on ShareNow with your lifestyle interests and passions. For once a serious blog topic from me...

This makes Sharenow very unique, as you can meet like-minded people who share your lifestyle interests, as well as find and enjoy content and media that are of interest to you.

So, it is very important that you tag your profile as accurately as possible, to present yourself for what you like and who you are. A perfect example of this is our dear user Jolyon (in white in the picture below, next to our Chairman Nigel), who you can find under a search for "models"...

B Scott on ShareNow

Just a quick note to thank our friend B Scott for coming onboard at ShareNow. B Scott his one of the funniest people on the net, and trust me, he is as crazy in real life as in his videos!

We love having B on board, even too much, especially our editors, who every time B is in the ShareNow offices spend more time laughing with him than taking care of the website… So if you experience “technical problems” with the site, then it means that “B is in the house”!

The sun was hot in Los Angeles, and this together with being Friday, made it easy to decide that it was the perfect day for interviewing people, if we had to be here in the office rather than on the beach, then let's at least ruin the applicants' Friday!

Farid (part time ShareNow COO, when he is not in the gym) and I are the official interviewers - we take interviews very seriously and professionally, indeed pens, pads, list of mean questions, lie detector, and few more gadgets are tools always with us.
