ShareNow is looking for Jr. Front End Developer to create an exciting new Social Networking Platform.

If you prefer front end development because you're creative and visual and have a good eye for design; and write standards-compliant /semantic (X)HTML and CSS without Googling the syntax or using WYSIWYG editors, --that is a great opportunity.

Responsibilities

1. Rapid Prototyping
2. Design in Photoshop / Illustrator or use other design. Slice / compress graphics for the web
3. •Code in HTML, CSS, DHTML, Action Script, javascript / ajax while working in UNIX/Linux environments (FreeBSD, Ubuntu/Debian)
4. Posses strong sensitivity to time and deadline driven workflow.
5. Independent self-starter capable of contributing to the team immediately.
6. Meticulous QA of your work during development.
7. Stay up to date on Web 2.0 developments and research new tools and technology to deploy in the social networking/media sharing environments.

Requirements

• 2+ years of browser scripting experience (Javascript/AJAX, especially using the jQuery library)
• Expert with HTML, DHTML, and XML
• Solid understanding of CSS (table-less) layout
• Cross-browser compatible code
• Experience with templating frameworks.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
• Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a strong customer focus
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities with little or no supervision in a collaborative, team oriented work style.

Desired skills

• Experience with Django template system or other template systems
• Hands on experience with version control systems (SVN, Mercurial or similar)
• SEO, SEM, Optimization, Analytics
• BA in Design or equivalent
• Academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)
• Advanced production skills utilizing Flash, Actionscript, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Fireworks.
