You can tell a lot about a band by where they lay their head: Centrevol sleeps in one bedroom, on a triple-bunk bed they made by hand. Their sleeping quarters only underscore the resourceful minimalism and interdependent musicality that has become the signature of this three-piece rock band and their engaging live performances. Their tripled-layered sound contains elements of alt-funk, euro-dance and ambient rhythms offered by bassist Joe Nash and drummer nate Burkhardt who provide the backbone of their energetic delivery. Upon this backdrop singer/songwriter Peter June provides a passionate vocal offering and melodic hooks reminiscent of a Brit-pop invasion, held-up at customs.

Originally hailing from Boston, Mass., Centrevol is a recent transplant to Long Beach - touring with their first EP, City of Angels and moving in a one cross-country trip in August of 2006. Since their arrival, they have wasted no time establishing themselves as a musical tour-de-force playing premiere venues spanning from Universal City, Santa Monica, Orange County and their new ground-zero, Long Beach.

With a quickly growing fan base and set list, the band's momentum is focused toward the future, planning to release their second EP, (currently untitled) in late summer of '07. Stay tuned as the band hits the road this fall, expanding their sphere of influence throughout the west and beyond.
